Hatred
This is a game titled "Hatred," a simple 2D platformer with 3 progression levels. The protagonist (The Boy) lives alone in a war-torn city. He is determined to find his only remaining relative, his father, who is currently injured at the Casualty Clearing Station (CCS). Along the way, he must overcome obstacles and enemies, as well as collect items to heal himself or earn points in each level.
Hatred is a game inspired by the political events of war and its impact on people. The events in the game are fictional, created through the combination of many different wars. In the current war context in the world, the press and mainstream often only talk about politics, military power, etc. However, no one is talking about the fact that ordinary people are the most affected by war as well as the impact it has on people physically and emotionally. In the game, players will play the role of "The Son", a boy who once had a happy family. However, when the war broke out, his father had to join the army, and his mother fell ill and died not long after. Through this game, I want to highlight the consequences of war on people's physical and mental health, as well as its lasting impact on those left behind. War breeds hatred, and hatred breeds war. This game conveys a message and raises the question of how long this cycle will continue before it can stop.
